King PrajadhipokExhibition
Queen Rambhai Barni, the Queen Consort of King Prajadhipok Exhibition
Formerly, the life of Queen Rambhai Barni after the death of King Prajadhipok was displayed on th second floor. The museum decided to expand the permanent exhibition on the first level to include the Queen’s biography, royal duties, and character for a more comprehensive representation.
Coincidentally, the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning moved out of the six-storey building behind the museum. King Prajadhipok’s Institute seized this opportunity to consult the Secretariat of the House of Representatives and the Secretariat of Cabinet and requested to lease the building, intending to group exhibitions dedicated to Thailand’s politics and administration. They hired Multi Design Co., Ltd as the designer, while Pico Thailand Public Co., Ltd. took charge of the interior design. The building was named after Queen Rambhai Barni according to King Bhumibol’s (Rama IX)’s grant. The Rambhai Barni building comprises:
1st floor: King Prajadhipok Studies, which relocated from the first floor of the Museum building
2nd floor: Thai Parliament Permanent Exhibition
3rd floor: Thai Cabinet Permanent Exhibition
4th floor: Thai Decoration Permanent Exhibition
5th floor: Main Office and Museum Storage
6th floor: Conference Room
