A photo album of King Prajadhipok’s and Queen Rambhai Barni’s visit to Italy between 1933 to 1934. On the album cover printed “Instituto Nazionale LUCE”, an Italian organisation responsible for public relations and media production relating to the country. “Soggiorno in Roma delle LL. MM. Il Re e La Regina del Siam Marzo – Aprile 1934 – XII” provides information that the King and Queen of Siam visited Rome from March to April 1934. Having to travel to England for his eye surgery, the King and Queen visited other countries in the continent, including France, Italy, Czechoslovakia, and Hungary. After the operation, he remained in England and later announced his abdication at Knowles Residence, London. King Prajadhipok later passed away at Compton Residence.
