Description

Four sets of tea cups with saucers depicting different tales from Greek mythology. At the bottom is an identifiable trademark which bears similarity to German and Austrian brands and the “Sukhothai” inscription. The sets may have been from when the King was at Sukhothai palace before the ascension. The fourth cup illustrates the tale of Telemachus, son of Odysseus and Penelope when he is washed ashore on the island and is greeted by Calypso and her nymphs.
